The Story: In this affectionate comedy, a friendship emerges between two strangers at two drastically different points in their lives. Judge Francis Biddle is turning 82, and fresh-faced Sarah Schorr, the latest in a string of secretaries, is hired to help him with his memoirs. The script is inspired by the nine months the playwright spent as secretary to the real Francis Biddle, Attorney General under FDR and Chief American Judge of the Nuremburg Trials.
