Internships
Park Square Theatre internships provide insight and hands-on experience in technical or administrative functions of the theatre. The following internship opportunities are available on a year-round basis: Development Internship
Description: Provide support for development operation with a focus on the annual fund. Tasks include processing and acknowledgment of gifts from all giving sectors, prospect research, participation in monthly staff meetings, assistance with requests to individuals, corporations and foundations. Special projects as identified by the intern with the director's assistance, providing the intern with a comprehensive experience related to a specific work area or responsibility in funding development for non-profits. Qualifications: Love of theatre. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively on short term projects. Description: Work closely with Education Director on all aspects of education program, which brings over 23,000 students and artists together each year. Qualifications: Clear, effective writing skills. Creative thinking. Love of theatre. Ability to work collaboratively on short-term projects. Description: Sample a number of the departments in a small non-profit theatre. Work in 2-3 areas. Choose from Marketing, Education, Publicity and Promotion, Front of House, Artistic Direction or Audience Services. Length of Internship: Minimum of 20 hours per week for 8 weeks. Description: This internship provides a focus on marketing and public relations through planning and implementation of seasonal and production marketing strategies, researching new audiences, assist in special events and more. Qualifications: Strong communication and organization skills. Ability to digest new information quickly and apply it productively. An affinity for multi-tasking and creative problem-solving. Ability to work comfortably and effectively in a highly collaborative environment. Graphic Design experience a PLUS. Description: Working closely with Technical Department on one of our educational productions. Get valuable hands-on experience from Assistant Stage Management, Set Construction, Lighting and also learn the ropes of repertory theatre by participating in the change-over crew. Qualifications: Love of theatre. Patient with children. Some theatre experience. Preferably have or are working towards a BA in Theatre. Length of Internship: February 15-May 16, 2008 (other production internships available starting September 1). 4-5 hours a day. No weekends. Contact Person: Zachary D.
