A great play can make you howl with laughter or speak to your soul. Creating “entertainment that matters” – plays that touch the heart, engage the mind and delight the spirit is what we do at Park Square. We also develop the next generation of theatre goers through our signature student programs.

The Founder’s Society recognizes individuals who have made a future gift to the Theatre through their wills or other estate plans. These gifts literally lay the foundation for the next generation of theatre goers – making each donor a founder of Park Square’s future.

Founder’s Society Member, Dick Morrison
Dick was the Technical Director at Park Square back when the Theatre was in the Park Square Court building in Lowertown Saint Paul. “I’d retired from teaching and the chance to build sets and get the new space ready for them was just the opportunity I needed to practice what I’d been teaching for so long,” he remembers with a smile. Dick has turned his cottage in Lindstrom, MN into a trust for the Theatre.

“My family is well provided for - the assets of my home and my cottage should go somewhere I’ve been involved practically all my life time - for me that’s the theatre.” The benefit of a planned gift is mutual – helping both the donor and the Theatre. “There are definitely good tax incentives for making a planned gift now. I’ll have five years of a tax break now... and I’ll get to use the cottage for the rest of my life.”
