The Setting: A Catholic School in the Bronx, 1960s

Recommended Grade Level: 9-12

Suggested Areas of Study and Discussion: The Nature of Doubt; Acting; Play Production; The Play as Literature: Character, Themes, Tone, Irony; The Sex Abuse Scandal and the Catholic Church

The Story: The formidable Sister Aloysius (Park Square’s Linda Kelsey) does not approve of the charismatic Father Flynn, or the favor he shows one of her students.  In fact, she considers charging the priest with her unproven allegations.  Their battle for truth and personal integrity will leave you with questions to ponder long after the curtain goes down.
