Sustain the Momentum

An Urgent Appeal From Park Square Theatre

Help Park Square Theatre Keep Moving Forward

Help us raise $300,000 to meet our immediate financial needs.

Why We Need Your Support

Over the past three seasons, Park Square Theatre has made an extraordinary return to the stage, bringing nine high-quality productions to our stages, providing integral educational programming, and reaffirming our place as a vital hub for arts and culture in downtown Saint Paul.

We made this comeback because of the generosity of supporters like you.

However, the financial landscape for arts organizations has become increasingly challenging. Rising costs for labor, materials, and operations, alongside reductions and shifts in corporate, foundation, and government funding, have made sustaining this momentum difficult.

This past January, as Park Square celebrated its 50th anniversary, our community was also responding to the unprecedented challenges brought by Operation Metro Surge. Understandably, fundraising priorities across Minnesota shifted toward mutual aid. This shift came at a critical fundraising period for Park Square, leaving us with a significant shortfall in anticipated support.

As a result, we find ourselves beginning our 2026/2027 season already facing a financial deficit.

We remain committed to maintaining the artistic quality our audiences expect, supporting the artists who bring these stories to life, and keeping our spaces accessible to the wider arts community.

That’s why we’re reaching out with an urgent request to raise $300,000 to meet our immediate financial needs and keep Park Square moving forward.

Your gift today will help Park Square meet its immediate financial needs and continue building a strong, sustainable future.

What your gift supports

Your gift will help Park Square Theatre meet the urgent, upfront costs necessary to bring our 2026/2027 season to life. Many of these expenses must be paid long before a production opens or ticket revenue is received.

Your support will help us:

  • Cover essential production costs, including licensing fees, artist contracts, rehearsal expenses, and other upfront costs required to bring exceptional theatre to our stages.

  • Sustain our educational programming, including classes, camps, youth productions, and student matinees, while subsidizing tuition for the 85% of families who utilize our Pay As You're Able (PAYA) pricing model.

  • Meet immediate operating expenses necessary to keep our theatre running, support our artists and staff, and prepare for the season ahead.

Your gift today provides the immediate financial support we need to move forward with our season and continue serving the Twin Cities community.
